Our History
Ark Eden is a leading permaculture education project & accredited Forest School site located in an isolated valley in the foothills on Mui Wo, Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
It is dedicated to the principles of permaculture, ecological restoration, nature connection & well being - repairing a connection and respect for the natural environment, ourselves and each other through educational workshops and restorative projects that create a shift in the mindset and people's habits.

What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is a design system creating consciously designed landscapes which mimic the patterns and relationships found in nature, while yielding an abundance of food, fibre and energy for provision of local needs.
It can provide solutions to some of the toughest ecological and economic challenges we face today.
Permaculture can be modified and applied to both urban and rural settings so is very relevant in its application for Hong Kong.
It draws together the diverse skills and ways of living which need to be rediscovered and developed to empower us to move from being dependent consumers to independent providers.
